今年７月上旬に英国の中部にあるWarwick大学医学部にて臨床解剖学会が開かれ、涙道の新しい発見を発表してきました。
私は、涙の排水管＝涙点～涙小管～涙囊～鼻涙管～開口部の内、最終点＝開口部の下方にバッグ状の空間が認められ、ご献体１００側の約７０%の方々に存在する事が初めて発見された事を発表して来ました。（4-6 July joint summer meeting of the British & European Associations of Clinical Anatomists）
各国の学会参加者とディスカッションをしてきました。
来年にはClinical Anatomy（ is the official journal of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists, the British Association of Clinical Anatomists, the Anatomical Society of Southern Africa and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists.）の論文になると思います。
この後の、流涙症で悩まれていらっしゃる患者さん方の新しい治療方法の手助けになるものと信じています。
更なる精進を続けて行きたいと決意しました。
